Review: a book, a movie or a game

A review should include:
•Plot but not ending
•Name/title/Author/director/Producer/Rating/Background information
•Main character: Protagonist
•Your Opinion/judgment- explain-Rating
•Who is the audience demographic  e.g. adolescent girls who like horses

The Impossible
Director: Juan Antonio Bayona

Producers: Enrique López lavigne, Belen Atienza and Alaro Augustin

Rating: 85% of people liked this movie.

Information: In October 11th, 2012 The Impossible came out in
Spain, then slowly came out over the world.

Main character: The main characters are Naomi Watts (Maria), Ewan Mcgregor (Henry), Tom Holland (Lucas).

The movie is about when a family goes on holiday for Christmas in Thailand but they get caught in the Indian Ocean Tsunami. The Family gets split apart and badly hurt. Do they ever get out alive? Will they find each other?  Watch The Impossible to find out.

My opinion:
I really liked this movie. I felt like I was actually there living the disaster. I wouldn't recommend it to younger audiences as it can be very violence and there is a lot of blood and guts in it.
I rate this movie 4/5

T.G.C orientation day

Today all of the year 8 girl from Tauranga Intermediate School and from other schools went to Tauranga Girls Collage for an orientation day. We got there on the bus and came into the old gym were the deputy principle Mrs Ferguson, the year 9 deans and the head girl for 2014.

After that we were put into groups with T.G.C girls, they took us on a tour around the school and showed us were the classrooms were and answered any of our questions.

I am not really nervous about going to T.G.C because I know I might be with some of my friends and there are more opportunities that I can choose from witch I would like to do. What I am nervous is about is that I might get lost and not be able to find my classroom on the first couple of days.
This is us in the old gym.

Dystopian picture

I hear the violent yells from car to car, and the screeching of horns. I can't smell much because the thick black smoke clogs up my sinuses and my lungs. I can see nothing but a traffic line of cars stretching for miles, like they are trying to set another world record for the longest line of cars. My morning coffee tingles my taste buds as they dance around and sliding down my throat. I feel sick of this job that North Korea government has set me. I want to be free.

Create dialogue which illustrates the following situations.....

•A discussion with Miss C about your behavior this year (general over the year)

"How do you think your behavior has been this year Jessica?" asked Miss Campbell.
"Well," I start, "Over all I think I have been pretty good, I have not been known to get in any trouble at school,"
"Yes I agree with you there," said Miss campbell, "What are somethings you think you still need work on?"
"I need to work on my confidence with talking to the class. I have improved from the start of the year but I am still quite when talking in front of everyone." I replies.
"Yes I can see your improvement with your confident and I know you will get there," said Miss Campbell
"Is there anything else you want to add?"
"no," I say.

• Mrs Mills speaking to students about the year 8 final assembly.
"Quite everyone!" yells Mrs Mills, "If you stay quite we might be able to go out and have our lunch!"
"Right," continues Mrs Mills "I have got you all here to talk about the year 8 final assembly." Does anyone know what the point of the year 8 assembly is?"
I put up my hand.
"Yes Jessica?"
"It is for saying farewell to the year 8 students and hope they go good in collage." I say
"Excellent!" replies Mrs Mills. I just wanted to say what it was about and give you a heads up that it is 3 hours long. NOw everyone can go to lunch."

Personality test

A man called Dave came to our school and attitude. He said that everyone was a animal. The animals were the otter, the lion, the golden retriever and the beaver. The otters are people who just wanna have fun and they hate being bored. The lion is are people who like to lead, and boss others around. The golden retriever just wants to keep peace, they don't like fights or arguing. Lastly its the beavers. The beavers are really smart, they do really good in school, and it means a lot to them.

I did the test. It said I was 41% golden retriever. It also showed what percentage I was for the other animals. I was 30% beaver, 11% lion and 19% otter.

12 hour relay, 2013

The first block was a fun run walk,
Most people just walked and talked,
As we came around the corner, Miss Campbell and Miss Mackenzie gave a little shower.

The second block was really fun,
Apart from when I got a wet bum,
Most games we won apart from the tug of war
Some people ended up on the floor.

To clam us down in the last block we had a little talent show,
Some people really glowed with talent.

It was a really enjoyable day, I hope they have something like this in collage one day.
